Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SUMTER, S.C. – No. 9 (Oracle/ITA Division II ranking) Flagler College recorded a pair of 7-2 wins on Saturday at the Palmetto Tennis Center. Flagler downed Belmont Abbey College in the morning and then defeated The Citadel later in the afternoon.

Flagler improved to 9-3 overall. Belmont Abbey fell to 6-13 overall while The Citadel dropped to 7-16.

The Saints posted two wins in doubles against the Crusaders. Willy Hasselberg and Rasmus Jonsson rolled to an 8-3 win while Hermann Gertmann and Tommaso Bagon won by the same score.

Lukas Storck, ranked No. 38 in the country, clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-2 win over George Barfoot at No. 2 singles. Felipe Carvalho and Daniel Arrien also won in straight sets in singles play.

In the second match against The Citadel, Flagler won all three doubles matches to take the early advantage.

Jonsson clinched the match with his 7-6(2), 6-3 win over Gavin Stewart at No. 3 singles. Gertmann also won in straight sets.

Up next for the Saints is another doubleheader. On March 14, Flagler will take on West Chester University of Pennsylvania and the University of Scranton at Orlando.
