Box Score ST. AUGUSTINE – The No. 6 (ITA Division II) Flagler College women's tennis team opened Peach Belt Conference play with a 7-2 defeat of Augusta University Saturday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center.

Flagler improved to 2-4 overall and 1-0 in the Peach Belt. Augusta fell to 5-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

The Saints cruised through the three doubles matches and it didn't take long to wrap up the match as No. 25 Lizanne Jinkertz dominated Eva Miralles-Miro 6-0 and 6-0. Felicitas Runkel gave Flagler the 5-0 advantage when she swept Ana Faria 7-6(4) and 6-2.

Camila Ramazzini and Paloma Martinez each recorded straight set wins in singles.

Flagler is idle until Friday (Feb. 23) when it will face Francis Marion University, which is currently ranked No. 20 in the country, at 11 a.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center.
