Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga. – No. 5 (Oracle/ITA Division II) Armstrong State University defeated No. 8 Flagler College 5-2 in a NCAA Division II Southeast Regional No. 2 women's tennis final Tuesday afternoon at the Armstrong Tennis Complex.

Armstrong State, the two-time defending champion, raised its record to 24-4 and will have a chance to defend its title at the national championship. Flagler's season came to a close with a 20-5 record.

The Saints fell behind early as Kelly Burge and Mary Jo Nanti recorded the lone win in doubles play with an 8-2 triumph over Tatjana Stoll and Lenka Styblova. Burge and Nanti finished the season with a perfect 7-0 record.

Lizanne Jinkertz recorded her sixth consecutive win in singles play with a straight sets (6-1, 6-2) win over Stoll. That closed the deficit in the match to 3-2. But Burge and Patrycja Maslanka lost in their singles matches to end the overall match.

Flagler loses both Burge and Nanti to graduation.
