Quam Salami's goal in the 63
rd minute was all of the offense Flagler College would need to secure a 2-0 win over the University of South Carolina Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference men's soccer match Wednesday night at Saints Field.
Flagler improved to 3-6-0 overall and 2-3-0 in the Peach Belt. USC Aiken fell to 3-5-1 overall and 1-2-0 in conference play.

John Lynch recorded his 200
th career win this evening and became the 24
th active coach in NCAA Division II men's soccer to have 200 or more victories. He is the only active coach in the PBC, for men's soccer, to have 200 or more wins. Lynch began his career in 1998 at Bluefield (Va.) College where he posted a 20-28-4 record. He ventured to St. Augustine where he has led the Flagler program ever since, 19 years in total. Lynch now has a 180-143-28 record in the Ancient City.
Henrique Salamao found Salami open to his left and Salami took a couple of dribbles in to get closer and fired a shot into the back of the net and get the Saints on the board.
Almost nine minutes later,
Matheus Carvalho scored an insurance goal to preserve the win.
Iwan Roberts kept a clean sheet, his first of the season, as he collected three saves. The Pacers shuttled in three different keepers, but it was Chase Boulton who allowed the two goals.
The Pacers out-shot the Saints 10-6 and held an 8-6 edge in corner kicks. There were 19 fouls whistled with Flagler accounting for 14 of them.
Flagler will step out of conference to face Florida National University of Hialeah on Sunday (Oct. 8) at 6 p.m. at Saints Field.
