Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga. – Top-ranked (ITA Division II) Armstrong State University, the defending national champions, defeated No. 16 Flagler College 9-0 in a Peach Belt Conference women's tennis match Wednesday afternoon at Bacon Park.

Armstrong remains undefeated at 23-0 overall and is 12-0 in the Peach Belt. Flagler dips to 11-6 overall and 8-3 in conference play.

The Saints tandem of Barbora Sebkova and Kelly Stewart pushed Armstrong's doubles team of Lena Pacholski and Carolina Prats-Milan before succumbing to an 8-6 defeat.

Armstrong boasts four top 40 singles players and all six players won in straight sets. Stewart had her 11-match winning streak snapped when she lost to No. 19 Prats-Milan 6-1 and 6-4. No. 45 Esther Santiago played her first match of the season at No. 1 singles and lost to No. 10 Lena Lutzeier 6-1 and 6-0. Mary Jo Nanti had her seven-match winning streak halted as she had to face the region's top-ranked player and No. 7 overall Clara Perez, 6-1 and 6-1.

Flagler will head south for a non-conference match at Palm Beach Atlantic University Saturday (April 11) at 3 p.m. at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center which is part of the brand new Marshall and Vera Lea Rinker Athletic Campus in West Palm Beach, Florida.
