BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Flagler College men's and women's golf teams are in the top 20 in Golfstat's Division II Relative Ranking list which was unveiled this afternoon. This is the first ranking for the 2015-16 season. The women check in at No. 12 while the men are No. 18.
The women's relative percentage is 89.20 and is the best in the Peach Belt Conference. But the University of Montevallo is right on the heels of the Saints at No. 13. The Falcons relative percentage is 88.00. The University of North Carolina Pembroke is No. 22. Rollins College leads all of Division II with a 97.10 percentage.
The top individual for the Saints is freshman Lara Adler. She 34
th out of 150 ranked players by Golfstat.
Linn Weber, a junior at Flagler, is No. 40 while
Stephanie Tucker (No. 110),
Mary Rodgers (No. 143) and
Pauline Tainton (No. 14) are ranked as well.
The men's relative percentage is 84.10. The University of South Carolina Aiken has the best percentage out of the PBC membership at 86.60 which is good for No. 11. Saint Leo sits atop the ranking with a 93.30 percentage.
Jordan Ebanks is ranked No. 44 out of the top 150 in Division II.
Juan Iturra, a freshman, is No. 76 while
Michael Boss (No. 85) and
Ethan Wagner (No. 100) round out the ranked Saints golfers.
Up next for the women is the Saint Leo Invitational Oct 19-20 at the Lake Jovita Golf Course. The men are at the McDonough Cup Oct. 26-27 at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando.
