Box Score 2 ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College split a Peach Belt Conference softball doubleheader against No. 6 (NFCA/Division II) University of North Georgia just before the rains came Wednesday afternoon at Flagler Field. UNG won the opener 6-2, but Flagler rolled to a 10-4 win in the second game.
Flagler is now 25-15 overall and 6-8 in the Peach Belt. Flagler also raised its home record to 10-2 and it played its first home game since March 11. North Georgia dropped to 31-10 overall and 11-5 in conference play.
In the opener, a two-run double by Kim McMillan in the second inning proved to be the game winning hit in a 6-2 win by North Georgia. She came to the plate with the bases loaded and one out and then laced a two-bagger to the right-center field gap.

Taylor Ann Merritt led North Georgia with a pair of singles, a double, a run scored and another driven in. Sarah Johnson singled twice.
Tinsley Smith (4-3) took the loss in the circle for Flagler. She tossed three innings, surrendered nine hits and allowed five runs.
