GREENWOOD, S.C. – Ciara Lyons scored 25 of her game-high 35 in the first half as Lander University rolled to a 92-66 win over Flagler College in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Wednesday night at the Finis Horne Arena.

Lander has won six of its last seven games and improved to 8-3 overall and remain undefeated in conference play in three games. Flagler lost its seventh game in a row and fell to 1-10 overall and 0-5 in conference play. It was Flagler's first game back from break since Dec. 19.

Lyons made 12-of-16 from the field and 11-of-12 from the free throw line. She added eight assists, seven rebounds and four steals. Kaylyn Small added 16 points and seven rebounds while Keondra Barnes came off the bench to provide 14 points and a game-high eight rebounds for the Lady Bearcats. Jasmine Judge tallied a game-high five steals.

Lander shot 50.8% (32-63) from the field and forced 31 Flagler turnovers and cashed them into 32 points.

Charlsea Owen (St. Augustine, Fla., Pedro Menendez HS) scored a season-high 14 points. Marie Taylor (Inverness, Fla., Lecanto HS) scored a career-high 13 points as she made 7-of-her-12 free throw attempts. Latesha Johnson (St. Petersburg, Fla., Lakewood HS) chipped in with eight points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Flagler returns home on Saturday (Jan. 7) to face Georgia College in another Peach Belt Conference game at 1:30 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium.
