SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Flagler College women's tennis team concluded the regular season ranked No. 13 in the final Campbell's/Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division II Team Rankings which were released today. Flagler had been ranked as high as No. 10 since late March.
Flagler finished with an overall record of 12-7 and posted a 9-3 mark in the Peach Belt Conference. Flagler ended the season in the final match of the Savannah Regional, losing to the host school, Armstrong Atlantic State University.
Flagler was one of seven conference schools ranked in the top 50. Armstrong finished No. 4 while Clayton State University and Columbus State University rounded out the top 10 at Nos. 7 and 10, respectively. Georgia College came in at No. 17 and joined Flagler in the top 20. Augusta State University and Francis Marion University rounded out the Peach Belt teams at Nos. 29 and 30. Barry University tops the polls after winning the national title last month.
The Saints finished fourth in the Southeast Region.
Lauren Pfeiffer (Fort Pierce, Fla., Florida Gulf Coast Univ.) ranked No. 14 in singles.
