ST. AUGUSTINE – No. 1 (Campbell's/ITA Division II Rankings) Armstrong Atlantic State University triumphed over No. 10 Flagler College in a Peach Belt Conference women's tennis match Tuesday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center.

Armstrong Atlantic, the three-time defending NCAA Division II champions, remained undefeated and improved to 21-0 overall and 12-0 in the Peach Belt. The win also captured the Lady Pirates' eighth straight regular season conference title. Flagler had its seven-match winning streak snapped and fell to 10-3 overall and 9-2 in the conference.

Aleksandra Filipovski and Barbora Krtickova won 8-1 over Lauren Pfeiffer (Fort Pierce, Fla., Florida Gulf Coast Univ.) and Rachel Gould (Toronto, Ontario, Vaughan Road Academy) at No. 1 doubles. Tina Ronel and Alida Muller-Wehlau downed Veronica Figueroa (Orlando, Fla., Cypress Creek HS) and Jennifer Saviano (Davie, Fla., St. Thomas Aquinas HS) 8-2. Kathleen Henry and Joanna Szymczyk rolled to an 8-0 win over Gabby Scammacca (Sugarloaf Key, Fla. , Key West HS) and Deon Miller (Miami, Fla., Dr. Michael Krop HS).

In singles play, the Lady Pirates won every match in straight sets. No. 5 Muller-Wehlau won 6-1 and 6-0 over Pfeiffer. No. 14-ranked Filipovski won by identical 6-2 scores over Figueroa. Krtickova, ranked No. 11 nationally, downed Saviano 6-0 and 6-1. No. 20 Ronel defeated Miller 6-1 and 6-2. Gould fell to No. 46 Henry 7-5 and 6-0 while No. 40 Szymczyk blanked Scammacca by identical 6-0 scores.

Flagler hosts No. 23 Florida Tech on Saturday (Apr. 9) at 1 p.m.
