SAVANNAH, Ga. − Michael Price went 5-for-7 with four runs scored and three runs batted in to lead No. 24 (Collegiate Baseball Division II Top 30) Armstrong Atlantic State University to a doubleheader sweep over Flagler College in Peach Belt Conference action Saturday afternoon at Pirate Field. Armstrong won the opener 4-2 and took the second game 7-1.

In the opener, back-to-back RBI singles by Alex Frederick and Michael Price in the fifth inning proved to be the difference in Armstrong's 4-2 win.
Mike Barnhill led off the fifth with a single up the middle and took second on sacrifice. The next batter struck out, but Chris Zittrouer was hit by a pitch to keep the inning alive. That's when Frederick singled down the right field line, which scored Barnhill and gave the Pirates a 2-0 lead. Then Price followed with a single through the hole between first and second base to plate Zittrouer from third.
Armstrong Atlantic starter Chris Base (7-1) ran into trouble in the sixth, giving up back-to-back doubles to
Ollie Bertrand (Sainte-Adele, Quebec, Monroe CC) and
John Sgromolo (Fleming Island, Fla., Clay HS). Sgromolo would later score on a sacrifice fly to bring Flagler back to 3-2.
But Base would strand the tying run at first base in the sixth, at second base in the seventh and eighth innings.
