DAHLONEGA, Ga. − No. 4 (NFCA/Division II Top 25) North Georgia College & State University swept a Peach Belt Conference softball doubleheader from Flagler College Thursday afternoon at the Haines and Carolyn Hill Stadium. North Georgia won the first game 8-1 and took game two 6-1.

North Georgia's record improves to 26-6 and 2-0 in Peach Belt play. Flagler falls to 25-9 overall and 3-5 in league play.

In the opener, Alona Personius (Lake Stevens, Wash., Florida State College-Jacksonville) got Flagler on the board with a solo home run in the first inning, but that would be all the offense the Saints could muster against two-time Peach Belt Pitcher of the Year Sarah Phillips (11-3).

Phillips retired the next 19 in a row and faced just one batter over the minimum. She struck out seven batters and retired 10 batters on fly outs along with another four on ground outs.

North Georgia tied the game in the bottom of the first when Ansley Williams led off with a home run. Katherine Martin doubled in another run while the third run of the frame was scored on a ground out.

North Georgia added three more runs in the third and two more in the fourth.

Hilary Cox singled three times while Katherine Martin went 2-for-4 with the double and knocked in a run.

Kelly Riddick (Hampton, Fla., Central Florida CC) (10-3) tossed three innings, allowed six hits and five earned runs. Donna Munafo (Satellite Beach, Fla., Brevard CC) pitched the last three innings and scattered two hits and allowed one earned run.
