ST. AUGUSTINE –
Breezy Collings (Orange City, Fla., Brevard CC) went 4-for-7 with a double, a home run and two runs batted in to lead Flagler College to a doubleheader sweep of Northwood (Fla.) University Saturday afternoon at Saints Field. Flagler won the opener 3-1 and took game two 9-1 in six innings.
Flagler remained undefeated and raised its record to 16-0 while Northwood dropped to 3-7.
In the opener,
Tori Jolley (Keystone Heights, Fla., Keystone Heights HS)'s solo home run in the fourth inning proved to be the game-winning hit as it gave the Saints a 2-1 lead. She was 2-for-2 with one run batted in and scored a run.
Sarah Albino (Adelaide, Australia, Florida State College-Jacksonville) singled twice for Flagler while
Katelyn Guinsler (Williston, Fla., Central Florida CC) provided some insurance in the sixth with an RBI single which scored
Robyn Draper (Brampton, Ontario, State College of Florida). Albino was Flagler's other player with multiple hits.
Kelly Riddick (Hampton, Fla., Central Florida CC) (8-0) tossed a complete game, scattered three hits, allowed one run and fanned five. Only one Nortwood player reached scoring position.
Brittany Merit scored the Lady Seahawk's only run in the third inning with a solo home run to left field.
Michelle Crompton (3-5) picked up the loss for Northwood. She tossed six innings, allowed eight hits, three runs and fanned two.

In game two, Flagler jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back. Collings started the scoring in the first after her RBI single to right field scored
Lauren Bessent (Jacksonville, Fla., Trinity Christian Academy). In the second, Albino hit an RBI double that scored Guinsler.
Kristen Chapman (Jacksonville, Fla., Sandalwood HS) (1-0) picked up the win in the circle for the Saints as she tossed five innings, allowed five hits, one run and fanned two.
Draper and Collings each hit solo home runs in the fifth. Jolley's two-run double in the sixth invoked the mercy rule.
Nine different Flagler players had hits. Collings, Guinsler, Draper and Bessent recorded multiple hits for the Saints.
Cooper supplied Northwood's lone score of the game as she hit an RBI single to center field scoring Kayla Sasstamoinen.
Crompton (3-6) took the loss for the Lady Seahawks as she tossed 5.2 innings, allowed 14 hits, eight earned runs and fanned four.
Flagler travels to Clearwater, Fla., on Feb. 25-27 to take part in the Eckerd Triton Spring Invitational.
