ST. AUGUSTINE − A four-run seventh inning helped No. 29 (Collegiate Baseball/Division II Top 30) Limestone College to a 6-4 win over Flagler College in a non-conference baseball game Sunday afternoon at Flagler Stadium.

Limestone raised its record to 7-3 while Flagler fell to 6-7.

Flagler scored three times in the first inning. The Saints plated the first run on a groundout and Jose Rohena (Tampa, Fla., St. Petersburg College) knocked in the second run with a single. He later scored on a sacrifice fly by Charlie Stewart (Port St. Lucie, Fla., Lincoln Park Academy).

Flagler scored a run in the second on a sacrifice fly by John Sgromolo (Fleming Island, Fla., Clay HS).

But Limestone reliever Jordan Robinson (1-0) came on in the third inning and held Flagler to six hits and no runs. He only allowed three Flagler runners to reach scoring position the rest of the game.

Limestone chipped away with single runs in the fifth and sixth inning before erupting in the seventh. Flagler reliever Heath Storey (Kennett, Mo., Jefferson College) (0-3) struck out the first batter, but walked the next two. Micah Robinson singled home one run to chase Storey from the game. Chad Balderman greeted the second Flagler reliever, Max Rusch (Fargo, N.D., Des Moines Area CC), with an RBI single. The next batter walked and then Al Benson hit a tailor-made double play ball to second base. The throw to second was bobbled by the shortstop which allowed two more runs to score and Limestone took a 6-4 lead.

Flagler had runners on the corners and two outs in the ninth inning, but Evan Grandizio (Bloomsburg, Pa., Monmouth University) grounded out to second to end the game.

Jake Rierson singled, doubled and drove in a run for Limestone. Robinson singled twice, scored a run and drove in two.

Grandizio singled three times for Flagler. Nate Fudala (Cincinnati, Ohio, Turpin HS) singled, doubled and scored a run. Rohena singled twice, scored once and drove in a run while Tyler Vanover (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Providence HS) singled twice.

Storey allowed one hit and three runs in his one-third of an inning stint. Micah Kellogg (Lakewood, N.Y., Jamestown CC) started and tossed six complete innings. He scattered three hits and allowed two runs. He retired the first 12 batters he faced.

Flagler travels to Lakeland on Tuesday (Feb. 22) to meet No. 2 Florida Southern College at 7 p.m.
