ST. AUGUSTINE – Hanna Vette scored a game-high 19 points coming off the bench and Kelseigh Hughes recorded a triple-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the University of West Florida to a 71-44 victory over Flagler College in a non-conference women's basketball game Monday afternoon at Flagler Gymnasium.

West Florida won its third game in a row and improved to 4-6. Flagler dropped its sixth game in a row and fell to 1-9.

Octavia Bearden added 12 points and grabbed a game-high 18 rebounds for the Argonauts. Sher'Ryan Scott chipped in with 10 points.

West Florida shot 42.3% (33-78) from the field and out-rebounded Flagler 50-41. The Argonauts held a 36-22 advantage in points scored in the paint.

Treva Mason (Orlando, Fla., West Orange HS) record her second consecutive double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds to pace the Saints. Jen Knurek (Orlando, Fla., Lake Mary HS) added eight points, nine rebounds and five assists while Shakia Roche (St. Augustine, Fla., Allen D. Nease HS) recorded a season-high nine points.

A Latesha Johnson (St. Petersburg, Fla., Lakewood HS) jumper gave Flagler a 20-19 lead with 6:27 left play in the first half. After a missed 3-pointer by Scott, Johnson grabbed the rebounds, but Scott eventually stole the ball, dribbled down and made a layup to start a 14-0 run by the Argonauts over the next 3:40. West Florida took a 35-25 lead into the half.

Flagler will break for the holidays and return to action on Jan. 4 at Lander University.
