ST. AUGUSTINE – Dianna Craine (Oshawa, Ontario, University of Tulsa) recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 10 kills and 14 digs to help lead Flagler College to a 3-0 (25-16, 26-24, 25-22) win over Augusta State University in a Peach Belt Conference volleyball match Friday night at Flagler Gymnasium.

Flagler extended its winning streak to three matches and improved to 19-6 overall and 9-1 in the Peach Belt. Augusta State fell to 16-12 overall and 5-6 in conference play.

Emilee Taylor (Temple Terrace, Fla., Armwood HS) added 10 kills and six digs while Casey Gnann (Boca Raton, Fla., Spanish River HS) collected a match-high 15 digs for the Saints. Olivia Snipes (Easley, S.C., Easley HS) tallied 23 assists while Amanda Dougherty (Coplay, Pa., Parkland HS) added 16 more. Crystal Niederriter (Merritt Island, Fla., Merritt Island HS) hit .500 with seven kills and had one error on 12 swings. Rachel Stacy (Orlando, Fla., Timber Creek HS) hit .455 with six kills and one error on 11 swings and added four total blocks.

Kristen Koch and Alex Rohlfing led Augusta State with eight kills apiece. Krystin Wahlig turned in a double-double with a match-high 28 assists and 10 digs.

Flagler got off to a quick 6-1 lead in the first set and rolled to a 25-16 win. Craine hit .667 in the set with four kills on six errorless swings. Jessica Hanson led the Jaguars with three kills.

Augusta State took a 5-4 lead after a Koch kill and held the lead all the way to set point. A Craine kill started a series of four consecutive points by Flagler as it closed out the set with a 26-24 win. The Saints used a balanced scoring attack with three different players contributing three kills. Augusta State was held to a .136 hitting percentage.

The Jaguars took an early 4-0 lead in the third set and led by as many as six (15-9). With Augusta State leading 17-13, Flagler went on a 6-0 run behind two kills by Taylor. The Jaguars broke match point when Paige Tuttle found an opening on the Saints side of the court (24-22). But Niederriter finished the match with a kill.

Flagler hosts the University of Montevallo tomorrow (Oct. 29) at 2 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium. With a win, Flagler will have won 20 matches for the 11th consecutive season.
