Meg Weathersby (Maitland, Fla./Orangewood Christian) recorded a match-high 20 kills and hit .500 to help lead Flagler College to a 3-1 (25-15, 25-23, 13-25, 25-19) win over Augusta State University in a Peach Belt Conference volleyball match Friday night at the Christenberry Fieldhouse.
Flagler won its fourth-consecutive match and improved to 9-4 overall and 3-0 in the Peach Belt. Augusta State fell to 4-9 overall and 1-3 in league play.
Weathersby only had two hitting errors on 36 swings.
Laura Beth Lancaster (Ocala, Fla./Georgia Southern University) added 12 kills and 10 digs for the Saints for her first double-double of the season.
Dianna Craine (Oshawa, Ontario/University of Tulsa) chipped in with eight kills and 10 digs.
Casey Gnann (Boca Raton, Fla./Spanish River HS) led the defense with 13 digs while
Rebecca Royal (Green Cove Springs, Fla./Fleming Island HS) tallied 36 assists and three total blocks.
Olivia Snipes (Easley, S.C./Easley HS) just missed a double-double with 19 assists and nine digs.
Mandy Irizarry led the Jaguars with 12 kills and 13 digs while Tarah Childress added 10 kills. Andria Tagarelli recorded a match-high 16 digs and Lisa Bartsch tallied 38 assists.
Flagler concludes its first conference road trip against the University of Montevallo tomorrow (Sept. 25) at 1 p.m. (CDT).
