FLORENCE, S.C. − Flagler College senior outfielder Brittney Hatem (Hialeah, Fla./Wallace CC-Dothan) and junior pitcher Kelly Riddick (Hampton, Fla./Central Florida CC) were both named to the All-Peach Belt Conference second team Thursday night at the awards banquet at the Ramada at Young's Plantation.

Hatem leads the club with a .367 batting average, 38 runs scored, 61 hits, nine doubles, five home runs and 23 runs batted in. She also has a team-high 18 stolen bases. Hatem ranks fourth in the conference in hits, sixth in runs, sixth in total bases (87) and 10th in batting.

Riddick has been an enduring force in the circle for the Saints. She is 18-11 with a 1.96 earned run average. Riddick has made 37 appearances, started 26 games, completed 12, tossed four shutouts and saved two games. She has logged 182 innings, allowed 123 hits and struck out a school-record 216 batters. Riddick is second in the conference in innings pitched, strike outs, wins, appearances and is ninth in ERA.

Flagler, seeded fifth, will open play at the conference tournament tomorrow (Apr. 16) when it takes on No. 4-seed at 11 a.m. at the Freedom Florence Complex. Flagler will play again at 4 p.m., win or lose, against either No. 1-seed North Georgia or No. 8-seed Lander.
