ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. − All-American Sarah Phillips (15-0) pitched both ends of the doubleheader and help lead top-ranked (NFCA Division II) North Georgia College & State University to a doubleheader sweep over Flagler College Sunday afternoon at Saints Field. North Georgia won the opener 4-0 and took game two 6-0.

North Georgia remained undefeated with a 21-0 overall record and a 6-0 mark in the Peach Belt. Flagler fell to 16-14 overall and 2-2 in the league.

In the opener, Phillips tossed a one-hit shutout and fanned 12. She only allowed two runners to reach second base.

Callie Fernandez had a pinch hit RBI single to provide all the offense that Phillips would need. Hillary Cox hit an RBI-double in the sixth while Natasha Willemse belted a two-run home run in the seventh.

Katherine Martin hit two doubles and scored twice.

Katherine Cabrera's (Hialeah, Fla./Miami Dade College) singled in the second for Flagler.

Kelly Riddick (Hampton, Fla./Central Florida CC) (10-9) went seven innings, surrendered seven hits and four runs. She also struck out five batters.

In game two, Phillips tossed a two-hit shutout, fanned 11 and faced just two batters over the minimum.

In the second, Cox led off by reaching first on an error and came around to score on a wild pitch.

North Georgia scored two more unearned runs in the fourth as Flagler committed two more errors.

In the seventh, All-American Courtney McGuire and Leslee Smih hit back-to-back home runs. McGuire's was a two-run shot.

Heather Hill (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Indian River CC) hit a double for Flagler as the ball hit the top half of the fence.

Kristen Chapman (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood HS) (5-3) went the distance and allowed eight hits and three earned runs.

Flagler hits the road on Mar. 19 against Georgia Southwestern at 3 p.m.
