Meg Weathersby (Maitland, Fla., Orangewood Christian) recorded a match-high 16 kills, hit .342, and added eight digs and three blocks to help lead top-seed Flagler College to a 3-1 (24-26, 25-12, 25-20, 25-19) win over No. 8-seed Augusta State University in the quarterfinal round of the Peach Belt Conference Volleyball Tournament at The ARC.
Flagler improved to 25-8 and will advance to the semifinal round and face No. 4-seed USC Aiken at 4 p.m. tomorrow. USCA defeated Lander 3-1. Augusta State finished its season 11-22.
Dianna Craine (Oshawa, Ontario, University of Tulsa) added a double-double with 11 kills and a match-high 19 digs. She also served up three aces.
Olivia Snipes (Easley, S.C., Easley HS) also notched a double-double with 18 assists and 12 digs.
Laura Beth Lancaster (Ocala, Fla., Georgia Southern University) chipped in with 10 kills and six digs coming off of the bench.
Rebecca Royal (Green Cove Springs, Fla., Fleming Island HS) tallied 22 assists and recorded a match-high five total blocks.
Crystal Niederriter (Merritt Island, Fla., Merritt Island HS) added six kills, five digs and four total blocks.
Jessica Hanson led the Jaguars with 10 kills and hit .381. Andria Tagarelli led the defense with 16 digs. Lisa Bartsch tallied a match-high 37 assists. Tarah Childress hit .467 with eight kills and one error on 15 swings.
