AUGUSTA, Ga. − Meg Weathersby (Maitland, Fla./Orangewood Christian) recorded a match-high 15 kills and hit a red-hot .542 to lead Flagler College to a 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-15) sweep of Augusta State University in a Peach Belt Conference volleyball match Saturday night at the Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Flagler won its second match of the day and raised its record to 9-8 and 2-1 in the Peach Belt. Augusta State, in its home opener, lost its third straight match and fell to 7-5 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Justine Burkhardt (St. Augustine, Fla./Winthrop .) added 11 kills and sported a .320 attack percentage. Casey Gnann (Boca Raton, Fla./Spanish River HS) collected a match-high 18 digs to lead the defense while Rebecca Royal (Green Cove Springs, Fla./Fleming Island HS) tallied 15 assists and three total blocks. Olivia Snipes (Easley, S.C./Easley HS) registered 20 assists and served up three aces.

The Saints hit .317 for the match with 38 kills and 12 errors on 82 swings. Flagler hit .583 in the third set alone.

Jessica Howard led the Jaguars with 13 kills. Lindsey Weider led the defense with 12 digs and Ashley Zappitell tallied 24 assists.

These same two teams will meet on Friday (Sept. 25) at Flagler Gym at 6 p.m.
