SAVANNAH, Ga. -
Bryan Harrell (Granger, Ind./Lincoln Trail College) went 4-for-7 with three runs batted in and a run scored to help lead Flagler College to a doubleheader sweep of the Savannah College of Art and Design, 11-4 and 6-1, in a Florida Sun Conference twinbill Saturday afternoon at Grayson Park.
In the opener, Harrell RBI-single to left field in the third scored the game-winning run and gave Flagler a commanding 5-0 lead. His single scored
Glenn Kiture (Orlando, Fla./Edgewater HS) who had reached on a walk and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt.
The Bees came back in the bottom of the third plating a pair of runs and then got two more in the bottom of the fourth, one on a sacrifice fly and the other on an RBI-infield single by James O'Connell.
Paul Mathews (Baton Rouge, La./Saint Louis CC-Meramec) came on in the third inning after starter
Austin Donmoyer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove Area HS) was hit by a line drive and then surrendered a double. Mathews (4-0) worked five innings yielding just three hits and allowing two earned runs.
Harrell went 2-for-3 with three RBI for the Saints.
Chris Guerra (Fremont, Calif./Mount Mercy College) added a pair of singles and a run scored while
Randy Miller (Jacksonville, Fla./Florida CC-Jacksonville) singled, scored two runs and drove in three more.
O'Connell singled, doubled and drove in a pair of runs for SCAD. Josh Eastwood added a pair of singles and scored a run for the Bees. Eddie Anderson (2-1) took the loss after hurling 6.2 innings, allowing nine hits and five earned runs. The SCAD defense tallied six errors.

In the nightcap, Flagler did not take long to take advantage of some SCAD miscues. Guerra led off the top of the first by singling up the middle. He stole second and third and then scored on Kiture's one-out base hit to right. Kiture advanced to second on a failed pickoff attempt as the SCAD first baseman couldn't handle the throw.
Kenny Bargfeldt (Fishers, Ind./Ball State U.) reached first base on a fielding error by the third baseman which allowed Kiture to score all the from second. Miller would reach first in the next at bat on another error, but no more runs were scored in the inning.
Wes Burgess (St. Augustine, Fla./Bartram Trail HS) (1-2) went the distance allowing just six hits and fanned five. After a rough first inning, Burgess would settle down and at one point retired seven batters in a row.
Guerra was a perfect 4-for-4 wit a pair of doubles and two runs scored. Harrell singled twice and scored a run.
Kris King (Youngstown, Ohio/Santa Fe CC) and
Zach Rossetti (Tequesta, Fla./Jupiter HS) both hit solo home runs for the Saints (9-6, 2-1 Florida Sun).
O'Connell collected a pair of singles and drove in a run for SCAD (6-6, 1-2). Ryan Pope was sidled with the loss after tossing four innings, allowing seven hits and three earned runs.
Flagler College hosts Florida Tech on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Flagler Stadium.
