ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Randy Miller's (Jacksonville, Fla./Florida CC-Jacksonville) RBI single in the second lifted Flagler to a 6-0 win in game one and Glenn Kiture's (Orlando, Fla./Edgewater HS) RBI double in the bottom of the seventh helped complete the sweep for the Saints in a 3-2 win over Edward Waters College in a non-conference baseball twinight doubleheader at Flagler Stadium.

In the opener, Flagler used a predetermined pitching order to hold Edward Waters to only four hits in a 6-0 win. Zach Rossetti (Tequesta, Fla./Jupiter HS) (1-0) tossed the first three innings allowing only one hit and fanning two to earn his first collegiate win. Clark Hish (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton HS) also tossed three innings, allowed two hits and fanned three.

Miller went 3-for-4 in the first game with a double and three RBI. Kiture banged out a pair of double, a single, drove in a run and score two more. Shane Darnofall (Corry, Pa./Hillsborough CC) tripled and singled while Bryan Crouch (Jacksonville, Fla./Arlington Country Day School) collected a pair of singles for Flagler.

Brian Bradley went the distance on the hill for Edward Waters. He allowed 12 hits and five earned runs in six innings of work. Robert Dowling singled and doubled for the Tigers.

In the second game, Flagler spotted Edward Waters two runs in the top of the first and rallied, scoring one run in the final three innings to earn a 3-2 victory.

Crouch led off the bottom of the seventh for Flagler (7-5) with a scorching single back up the middle. Miller laid down a sacrifice bunt that bounded to the Edward Waters third baseman who could not find a handle. Kiture, down 0-1 in the count, laced a line drive to deep center field that easily plated Crouch from second for the win.

Paul Mathews (Baton Rouge, La./Saint Louis CC-Meramec) (3-0) picked up the win in relief after tossing a flawless top of the seventh, fanning the first batter and getting the last two to ground out to shortstop. Crouch finished game two with a 3-for-3 performance, including a double, an RBI and a run scored. Jason Jones (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton HS) collected a pair of doubles for the Saints.

Julian Bailey took the loss in relief for Edward Waters (3-7). He tossed one-third of an inning, allowing two hits and the game winning run. Brandon Barrington had a pair of singles for the Tigers.

Flagler opens conference play on the road Friday when it kicks off a three game series at the Savannah College of Art and Design at 6 p.m. The same two teams will wrap up the series with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday.
