Sharale McCormick of the women's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Dec. 22.

McCormick led the Saints with a 20.5 points per game average and made 50 percent of her shots from the field as Flagler split its two games at the Florida Tech Holiday Classic. The North Lauderdale, Florida made eight 3-pointers, dished out five assists, and had four steals. McCormick poured in a game-high 22 points in a tough 58-48 loss to No. 15 University of Tampa. She scored 11 of her team-high 19 points in the fourth quarter in a 78-67 win over Florida Tech. McCormick is eighth in the PBC in scoring and sixth in field goal percentage.
