Marley Smith of the women’s basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 18.

The Auburn, Illinois native led the Saints with a 16.5 points per game average last week and added 5.0 rebounds per game. She scored 16 points and tallied three steals in a 68-57 loss to Lander University and then followed that up with a career-high 17 points, six rebounds, and four assists in a 55-54 win over Georgia College & State University. 

For the season so far, Smith leads the team in scoring with a 12.9 per game average. She is second in rebounding at 6.2 per game.
