Flagler College Athletics

Ryan Rivas of the men’s soccer team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Nov. 23.

Rivas pitched back-to-back shutouts in the NCAA Division II National Tournament. He had on save in Flagler's 2-0 win over Young Harris College in the first round and followed that up with a five-save effort in a huge 2-0 upset win over No. 2 (USC Division II Top 25) Palm Beach Atlantic University. 

Rivas has five shutouts in his last eight matches and tied the program's Division II era record for saves in a season with 10.
