Taylor Stone of the women's track and field team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Feb. 11.

Stone finished in third place in the mile at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet on Friday. The junior from Largo, Fla., ran a 4:45.98 which is the fastest in the PBC this season. She was less than a second out of the lead and turned in the 11th-fastest mile run in Division II this season. She beat the NCAA provisional mark by over 10 seconds and ran the anchor leg of the distance medley relay, helping the team to a 10th place finish in a field of 22 teams in a time of 12:04.33.

The Saints will return to the Alachua County Sports Complex at Celebration Pointe for the Peach Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship on Feb. 19.
