Tabitha Odabe of the women's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 3.
This is the third time this year she has been recognized as the athlete of the week.
Odabe averaged 13.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game last week. She added six blocked shots and four assists to her tally. Against Columbus State, Odabe scored 13 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and blocked four shots. At UNC Pembroke, she scored 14 points and grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds. She also made 6-of-8 from the free throw line, all in the second half.
Odabe leads the team with 12 double-doubles. She is fifth in the nation in blocks per game (3.8) and sixth in blocked shots (68). Odabe leads the Peach Belt Conference in rebounding (10.4) and blocks. She is second in rebounds (197) and fifth in field goal percentage (53.0).
