Monique Whiteman of the women’s cross country team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Nov. 6.
 
The Bulls, New Zealand native became the third Saint to secure the individual championship title with a time of 18:35.5 in the Peach Belt Conference Championship on Nov. 5. Whiteman finished the 5k course 12 seconds ahead of second place.
 
After leading the Saints to their fifth consecutive PBC crown, Whiteman was awarded the PBC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year. The sophomore earned all-conference team and all-sportsmanship team honors. Whiteman holds the second fastest 5k time in the conference at 18:14.6, which she ran at the FSU XC Open.
