Chase Fiddler of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 16.

Fiddler averaged 13.0 points per game and shot 57.1 percent from 3-point range as the Saints went 2-0 last week. The second-year freshman from Huntsville, Alabama drained eight 3-pointers for the week. He scored a team-high 14 points in a win over Georgia Southwestern State University. Fiddler tallied 12 points, all on 3-pointers, in a win at Young Harris College. 

For the season, he is averaging 8.1 points per game and leads the club with 34 treys as well as a 41.5 shooting percentage from long range. Fiddler is seventh in the Peach Belt Conference in 3-pointer made per game (2.3).
