Logan Garcia, of the Flagler College volleyball team, was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week following the period ending Sept. 19.
The junior middle hitter from Ocala, Florida recorded a career-high 16 kills and finished with a .414 hitting percentage to help lead Flagler to a 3-2 win over Lander University in a Peach Belt Conference opener. In the deciding set, Garcia had four kills and a .600 hitting percentage.Â
For the season, she is hitting a team-best .343, has 81 kills, and is tied for the team lead with 30 total blocks. Garcia leads the PBC in hitting percentage and is fourth in blocks per set (0.81).
