Kim Jakobs of the women's golf team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending May 9.

Jakobs finished in a tie for 11th place at the NCAA Division II South Regional last week, which included a career-best round of 71. She finished with a 9-over par 225, but led the field with 39 pars, including 14 in the final round.

For the season, Jakobs led the team with a 75.65 strokes per round average and had four top 10 finishes.
