Ryan Ashworth of the baseball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending April 28.

Ashworth made two appearances, including one start, and logged 6 1/3 innings pitched with six strikeouts. He allowed just four hits and one run. Ashworth tossed 5 1/3 innings of relief on Sunday and kept the Saints in the game at USC Aiken. He struck out five batters and allowed one run on four hits. 

For the season, Ashworth is 5-2 with a 3.53 earned run average. He has made 18 appearances with three starts and has one save. In 51 innings pitched, he has 41 strikeouts and has only walked 16 batters.
