Sara Sandberg of the women's soccer team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Sept. 16.
This is her second athlete of the week honor (Sept. 2).
Sandberg scored all four Flagler goals this week as the Saints went 2-0. She scored in the fifth minute at Florida Tech and then scored the golden goal in the 94th minute. At Young Harris, she scored a pair of second goals, seven minutes apart from each other, to lead Flagler to a 2-0 win.
The Orebro, Sweden native leads the PBC in goal scored and points. Going into the weekend, she ranked No. 15 in NCAA Division II in goals per game and No. 24 in points per game.
