Megan Hooks of the volleyball team was selected as the TraveLynx Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Nov. 1.
Hooks helped lead Flagler to a 3-0 week, all against Peach Belt Conference competition. She had 38 kills (2.92/set), hit .229, collected six digs and had eight total blocks in the three matches last week. Hooks had eight kills, four digs and three block assists in a five-set win over arch-rival Armstrong State. Against Georgia College, she hit .414 with 16 kills in a 3-1 win and then had 14 kills in a four-set win over Augusta.
Hooks is sixth in the PBC in kills per set (2.91), ninth in total attacks (754), 11th in kills (256) and 13th in solo blocks (8).
