Jerrell Oxendine of the men's basketball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week, for the period ending January 25.
Oxendine was also selected as the player of the week on Nov. 30.
The senior from Palatka, Florida led the Saints with a 25.0 points per game average. He made 57.7% (15-26) of his attempts from the field and was a red-hot 60% (9-15) from behind the 3-point line. Oxendine also made 78.6% (11-14) of his free throw attempts.

Oxendine drew a foul with one second left in regulation and the Saints down by one. He made the second of two free throws to send the game into overtime. In an 85-78 loss to Georgia Regents University Augusta last Saturday, Oxendine equaled his career-high with 25 points and he made six 3-pointers, the most he has ever made in a game in his career.
