Danny Brown of the baseball team was selected as the Student-Athlete of the Month, sponsored by the Hampton Inn & Suites Vilano Beach, for the month of March.
Brown was selected as the student-athlete of the week on March 16.
Brown posted a 2-0 record with one save and a 2.48 earned run average in the month of March for the Saints. He made eight appearances with one start. Brown tossed 29 innings, allowed 20 hits walked five and struck out 24. When he was selected as the player of the week, he had made two appearances, won a game and did not allow an earned run. Brown tossed 4.2 innings in relief at North Georgia and the only base runner he allowed reached on an error.
For the season, Brown is 2-1 with one saves and a 3.43 ERA. He has 36 strikeouts and eight walks.
