Richard Brown of the men's basketball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week, this time for the period ending Feb. 2.

Brown averaged 16 points per game and made 52.4% (11-21) of his shots from the field which included 58.3% (7-12) from 3-point range. But what was even more impressive was his defense against one of the top scorers in the Peach Belt Conference, Evrik Gary. Gary came into the game averaging nearly 20 points per game and Brown shut him down to two points in the first half and just 12 in the game as Flagler posted a 75-71 win over Francis Marion.

For the season, Brown is averaging 12.8 points and 3.8 assists per game. He is making 44.2% of his shots and is second on the team with 36 3-pointers.
