Flagler College Athletics

For the third time this season, Corey Mundy of the men's cross country team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week, this time for the period ending Oct. 27.

Mundy broke the school's 8K record with a time of 24:29.75 at the Peach Belt Conference Championships last Saturday at Americus, Ga. His time was the best in the 85-man field and helped Flagler to a fourth-place finish. Mundy broke Troy Holland's record time of 24:53, which was set back in 1984. Mundy also earned first-team all-conference honors. He became Flagler's first men's runner to win the PBC Championships.

Mundy and his teammates now focus their attention on Nov. 9 and the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional at Charlotte, N.C.
