Olivia Ferrer of the women's golf team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 14.
Ferrer was selected as the Nettle's Fine Jewelry Diamond in the Rough for the month of March, as announced earlier in the week.
Ferrer finished in a tie for second place, her highest finish of the year, with a 10-over par 226 to help lead No. 18 Flagler to a sixth place finish at the U.S. Women's Invitational at Charlotte, N.C. She, and three others, finished one shot back of the medalist. The tournament consisted of 10 teams, eight of which were nationally ranked.
Ferrer has four top five and top 10 finishes this year. She is second on the team in strokes per round with a 78.06 (+6 relative to par).
