Robyn Draper of the softball team was selected as the Diamond in the Rough for the month of May, sponsored by Nettles Fine Jewelry.
“Although she was a starter, Robyn did not receive all the recognition within the conference and region as some of other players," said heaad softball coach Kristen Overton. "She was named second-team all-Peach Belt Conference, but other than that she really didn’t receive any recognition. Robyn was the key to our success this post season, as she was the hottest player on our team. She batted .500 in our eight post season games, while hitting in the #3 spot. Robyn should also be recognized for the success of our pitchers, as she calls the games from behind the plate.”
