Danny Brown of the baseball team was selected as the Diamond in the Rough for the month of April, sponsored by Nettles Fine Jewelry.

Just a freshman, Brown has emerged as the ace of the staff. In April, he posted a record of 3-1 with a 2.42 earned run average. In four starts, Brown tossed 26 innings and fanned 20 batters. He tossed seven innings, allowed two hits and one run while striking out six at Francis Marion (Apr. 6).

Brown not only excels on the field. He has a 3.94 cumulative GPA and is a psychology major at Flagler.
