Kalyn Loverich of the softball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending May 15. She is the final student-athlete of the week recipient for the 2010-11 academic year.

Loverich made three appearances with one start last weekend at the Dahlonega Regional. She tossed 7.1 innings and recorded a 0.95 earned run average. Loverich fanned eight and allowed only three hits.

She finished the season with a 13-5 record and a 1.53 ERA. Loverich struck out 123 batters in 123.1 innings pitched.
