Flagler College Athletics

Tierra Ford of the women's basketball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 16. This is the second time she has received this honor, the last coming on Dec. 12.

Ford averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game as Flagler split its two games last week. She also made 64.7% (11-17) of her shots from the field and 92.9% (13-14) from the free throw line.
At Montevallo, Ford scored a season-high 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting and grabbed six rebounds.

For the season, Ford is averaging a team-best 11.2 points per game. She also leads the team in steals with 37 and field goal percentage (49.1).
