Flagler College Athletics

Elin Karlsson of the women's golf team has been selected as the Student-Athlete of the Week, sponsored by TraveLynx - the official bus company of the Flagler Saints, for the period ending Sept. 19.

Karlsson finished third at the Queens Invitational which concluded Tuesday at the TPC Sawgrass-Pete Dye Course to begin the 2010-11 season. She finished just two shots back of the medalist with a 9-over par 153. Karlsson had the lowest round of the tournament when she carded a 1-over 73 in the final round.  

She was also named the Peach Belt Conference's women's golfer of the week last Thursday.
