AUGUSTA, Ga. - Marley Middlebrooks and Jilly Young of the Flagler College volleyball team were named Peach Belt Conference Player and Setter of the week after their undefeated weekend at the Flagler Invitational.

The Saints defeated Lees-McRae College, Saint Leo University, Valdosta State University and Maryville University (Mo.). Middlebrooks and Young both finished with match highs in the last match.

MARLEY MIDDLEBROOKS
In a long four match weekend for the Saints, Middlebrooks helped lead the Saints to a 4-0 record. Through their four matches, the junior outside hitter recorded a team-best 63 kills, along with 71 digs, nine aces, and six blocks, including double-double performances in three of the Saints' four matches. Middlebrooks produced 16 kills and 12 digs over the Lions, 16 kill and 26 digs against the Blazers, and a season-high 24 kills and career-high 26 digs against Saints. Over the weekend, Middlebrooks was credited with an average 4.2 kills per set and 4.7 digs per set. 

The Panama City, Florida native leads the Peach Belt Conference with an average of 4.03 kills per set and an average 4.07 points per set. 

Middlebrooks is ranked No. 13 for total kills in the NCAA Division II.
 
JILLY YOUNG
In four matches, Young led the Saints in assists with a league-best 137. In the matches against Saint Leo, Valdosta State and Maryville she recorded her first, second and third double-double of the season with 36 assists and 10 digs against the Lions, 25 assists and 10 digs against the Blazers. Young led the Saints to a 3-2 victory with a career-high 61 assists, 15 digs, two blocks and one ace. Young had season highs in kills, digs, and blocks this past weekend. Her season high kills came against Saint Leo where she registered four. Against the Lees-McRae, Young registered one ace and eight digs with 15 assists.

The Waxhax, North Carolina native, currently leads the Peach Belt with an average of 9.24 assists per set.
