JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Flagler College's men's tennis team opened their 2026-27 season at the University of North Florida Hidden Duals meet. Senior Simon Malis capped off the round robin as the only undefeated Saint.

TURNING POINT
Seven Saints made the trip to Duval county where they competed in 32 total matches across singles and doubles play. Across the three day event, Flagler faced Division I institutes, Presbyterian College, Georgia Southern University and University of North Florida; Flagler was the one of two Division II schools to compete, along with Barry University.

DAY ONE
Four Saints in Simon Malis, Artiom Dorofeev, Kenneth Rabinad Vila and Oliver Hradilek took their opening matches in singles. Facing Presbyterian, Malis opened up with Matija Samardzic where he went 6-4 and 6-3. In his first match in the crimson and gold, Dorofeev also took his match over Dario Navarro, 6-4 and 6-3. Rabinad Vila defeated Gabriel Godoy 6-3 and 6-4 in his opening match of his Saints career. Taking his match 6-2 and 6-4, Hradilek defeated Thomas Anderson to cap the final win of the day. Doubles saw Malis and Dorofeev pair up for a 6-3 victory over Rafael Asadullin and Samardzic. Coming down to the wire, Hradilek and Noah Paterson defeated Anderson and Aarav Hada 7-6 (7-5).

DAY TWO
Flagler faced Barry and Georgia Southern in alternating matches. Singles wise, Malis and Hradilek were the lone victors. Taking his second DI victory, Hradilek handily defeated Oliver Pettigrove 6-2 and 6-3. Malis took his match against Gregoire Delattre of Georgia Southern to a super tiebreak where her emerged victorious, 7-6(6-5), 5-7 and 11-9. Keeping their streaks alive in doubles, Malis and Dorofeev as well as Paterson and Hradilek won both their matches. Facing little resistance, Malis and Dorofeev took down Albert Saar and Charles De Saint Laumern 6-1. Paterson and Hradilek had their match finish in a tiebreak over Pettigrove and Delattre, 7-6 (7-1).

DAY THREE
Malis capped off his perfect weekend in singles while Dorofeev captured his second win. Facing North Florida representatives, Malis defeated Daniel Marincas 6-4 and 6-2. In a tight 6-4 and 7-5 match, Dorofeev defeated Aron Janos Major. In doubles, Rabinad Vila and Filip Kana earned their first win as a pair, defeating Benjamin Scott and Youssef Labbene 6-3.
