CLINTON, MISS. – On the last day of the PBC-GSC Crossover, the Flagler women's volleyball team ended the tournament in an intense match-up with the University of Alabama-Huntsville.

Jeff Reynolds said. "We had our hands full against a nationally ranked and previously undefeated team, but we worked together as a team, stayed focused and managed the ups and downs of the match in a very competitive and successful way."
"We had a number of derive errors that made things a little more challenging for us." Reynolds said. "But we were able to work through those situations and ultimately take care of business." Reynolds ended.
Flagler vs. Huntsville
Score: Flagler 3, Huntsville 2 (23-25, 25-22, 25-22, 27-29, 15-13)

Records: Flagler (9-2), Huntsville (8-1)
The Short Story: After an intense five set match up, not only did the Saints walk away with a win, but they snap the Chargers undefeated streak.
OPENING VOLLEY
- Marley Middlebrooks is still making noise for the Saints with once again another double-double of 23 kills and 18 digs. Had a hitting percentage of .209 with two assists and four blocks.
- Mar'ley Phillips earns her second double-double of the season with 15 kills and 14 digs. Along with two aces and an assist.
- Double trouble, Gia Lowe and Katherine Rank, were on fire today. Lowe continues to amaze with 13 kills with a pair of blocks. Rank adds 11 kills to the resume with two assists and three blocks.
- Jilly Young still commands the offense with 50 assists, two kills nine digs and one ace.
- Amelia Fitzpatrick was killing it at the serving line with three aces and 10 digs.
THE DIFFERENCE
- After going back-and-forth in the beginning of the first set, the Saints were able to go ahead on a 6-2 run to break even 10-10. The Saints took the lead of 19-13, but the Chargers soon came up from behind and went on a five point kill streak with a Saints inflicted error to tie it up 19-19. Even though, the end of the set was neck-and-neck, the Charges took set one from a Saints attacking error, 23-25.
- The Saints fell behind throughout the entire second frame until the end. Flagler was tied at 20-20 until; they got ahead from a Saints kill and a Charger attacking error to take the lead by two. The Saints won the second set from a huge kill by Middlebrooks making the end score 25-22. In this set, the Saints had a team hitting percentage 0f .326 with 17 total kills.
- In the third set, Flagler started ahead in the beginning, until Huntsville started to keep on back and soon took the lead of 6-7 due to an ace. Through the set, the Saints wouldn't back down and became the leaders towards the end from a kill by Middlebrooks to put the Saints ahead and push them to the third set victory of 25-22.
- The Saints got to play extra on their four set today, which unfortunately ended in a loss of 27-29. Flagler fell behind fast in the beginning of this frame, but it wasn't until the score was 14-20 the Saints went on a huge five kill run with a Charger attacking error to tie the set up 20-20. After a long battle, the Chargers managed to slip past the Saints to force set five.
- For the last frame, the Saints made a huge comeback from falling behind 7-8. With a kill by Middlebrooks and two opposing attack errors, the Saints were able to get back in the front set. Huntsville wasn't going to give up easily, but they were unable to hold down the Saints as Lowe was available for the last kill of the match to make it 15-13.
