NEW ORLEANS, LA. - After finishing third at the 2025 NCAA Division II Southeast Regional, the Flagler College women's cross country team was selected at No. 5 in this year's United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Regional Preseason poll this afternoon.
Within the Southeast Region, Wingate University reigns as No. 1 in this seasons poll. Following the Bulldogs is Catawba College at No. 2 and Anderson University (S.C.) at No. 3. Rounding out the top-five is Peach Belt Conference affiliated, Augusta University at No. 4.
Flagler welcomes 10 newcomers to the roster after graduating a stout senior class. Following a successful freshman season, the Saints return standout performers,
Sophia Poling,
Marie Meyer-Piton and
Kinga Borowska; all of which placed within the top-10 at the Peach Belt Conference Cross Country Championship. Within the region, Poling had a top-15 finish at the NCAA DII Southeast Regional. Poliing placed 12th overall in a time of 22:32.1 which was the second fastest time for the Saints. Meyer-Piton ran the fourth fastest time for the Saints, landing her a 23:05.2, 24th place finish.

Ripley Penney. Incoming true freshman
Izzy Harter finished her career at Choctawhatchee High School as a two time Florida state qualifier and state placer. Hailing from Rochester, N.Y.,
Aubrey Sudol finished as a four time Class-A state qualifier and 2024 section champion.Â
The Southeast Regional championship will be held at the Miliken Research Park in Spartanburg S.C. on Nov. 21.
