ST. AUGUSTINE - In this weeks Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Rankings, the Flagler College men's tennis team moved to No. 5 in the nation and added four players to the individual rankings this morning.
Over the week the Saints won their only match, defeating Lynn University 5-2.
In singles rankings,
Ilian Borlee set a new personal best as he came in ranked at No. 19 in the nation. On the season, Borlee has played predominately on court three, going 4-0. On court two against Washburn University, Borlee won his match in two sets.
Simon Malis moved to No. 32 in the nation after going 3-1 on court two and 1-1 on court one. Thus far this season, Malis has played against three ranked opponents, two of which were in the top-10. Against No. 6 Washburn, Malis upset No. 8 Pavlos Parson 6-3 and 7-5.
Freshman standout
Raphael Rousson came in ranked No. 36 and is 5-1 on the season while playing across courts four five and six. Rousson is 2-0 against ranked opponents, defeating No. 46 Joan Crespo of No. 9 Azusa Pacific University and No. 36 Benjamin Frock of No. 6 Washburn.
Aniss Rafiq entered the national rankings for the first time since the spring at No. 52. While playing mainly at court one, Rafiq 1-3 and 1-0 on court two. Against No. 9 Azusa Pacific, Rafiq defeated No. 6Â Soeren Grandke.
